By Peta Burton. I always feel the frog is there with open ears and have it on a block frame on my office desk. He’s a poser!

By David Edwards. [Second winner of Image Review 3.] I shot this image at the Victorian Arts Centre where there is a water window. The water running down the window creates various areas of blur, and the distance from the window also changes the image. I have spent many hours at this spot trying to get a wow photo, but until this day it had alluded me. I think with this shot everything came together. The blurred people in the background, the father looking down at his daughter, and of course the little girl in the red jacket and yellow hat. And to cap it off she reaches out to touch the water.

By Duing Huynh. This photo was taken in Wuxi China on my business trip looking down the Nanchang Canal at night. I took the photo with the camera sitting on the bridge platform as I did not have my tripod. The photo had not been edited in any form except for cropping using Photoshop 5.1.

All photographers face the challenge of seeing photographically – as opposed to just seeing.

By Ben Hamey. I met this monk on a train in Kanchanaburi, he was really proud to show me a picture of himself in the book he is holding up (he is bottom left). (First winner for Image Review 3 Competition.)

By Jon Harris. The rugged Lofoten Islands on the north-west coast of Norway have long been home to a hardy fishing culture. Tales of these fishermen sleeping under their boats, year round, made my blood freeze even though I was there in summer! They eventually started building these ‘rorbu’ or fishing huts for a bit more comfort. Traditionally painted a deep red and often with a turf roof, this particular hut had seen better days. Yet the shine of the timber walls against the moody backdrop of the incoming weather gave this neglected little hut a certain charm.

By Jocelyn Manning. Taken at Walyunga National Park, in Western Australia, with an ND400 filter, to provide a long exposure on the flowing river.

By Adrian Cusmano. Picture of a man waiting for his coffee at a popular coffee shop in Melbourne’s CBD.

By Nino Xerri. Shutter Priority chosen because the image was shot from a moving coach approaching Mont Saint-Michel. A slight HDR adjustment (Dynamic HDR) as a single raw file to bring out and enhance the colours in the sky.
