By Duing Huynh. This photo was taken in Wuxi China on my business trip looking down the Nanchang Canal at night. I took the photo with the camera sitting on the bridge platform as I did not have my tripod. The photo had not been edited in any form except for cropping using Photoshop 5.1.

Maybe it’s those glowing lanterns, or the leading lines of the canal, but for some reason this image just appealed to me.
It looks as though the picture was taken from a bridge (is that a handrail at the bottom of the shot?). That being the case, I wonder what kind of result photographer Duing Huynh might have achieved had the shot been captured from a position a metre or two closer to the right and had the distracting neon sign on the left been avoided.
