Visitors to the site (http://7digital.konicaminolta.com/) can also read about the innovative CCD-shift Anti-Shake compensation system used by the camera, which provides image stabilisation with most existing Minolta lenses. The Dynax 7D has the largest LCD screen of the current crop of under-$4000 DLSR cameras and boasts a 3 frames/second continuous shooting rate. The buffer can hold nine RAW images or between 12 and 19 JPEG files, depending on image size. Simultaneous RAW and JPEG recording is supported.
In many respects, the Dynax 7D is similar to other current 6-megapixel DSLRs, with a magnesium-alloy body and 23.7 x 15.6 CCD sensor that gives a 1.5x lens multiplier factor. Its CompactFlash card slot accepts Type i and Type II cards. Three colour space options are provided: Adobe RGB plus two versions of sRGB (Natural and Natural+). Konica Minolta’s proprietary, CxProcess III image processing technology is used to provide high-definition, natural-looking images and a new Advanced LSI engine supports fast data handling for improved camera responsiveness and control.

Many operational controls are the same as those on Dynax film SLR cameras, including the easy-to-use dial and lever operation system. A central cross-hair type, 9-point and 8-line autofocus (AF) sensor array ensures high-precision AF and responsive tracking of moving subjects.
The new model also offers a comprehensive function suite that will meet the needs of serious photographers. Body dimensions are 150 x 106 x 78 mm and the camera weighs 760 grams without battery and lens.
