December 1, 2004: AvailaSoft has released a new software application, Photo2Album, which lets users design a 3D digital photo album that can store over 100 photos in less than 1MB for easy sharing via email.
Developed for the Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP platforms, Photo2Album is available in two versions: a freeware version that can only create 5-page email albums and the Standard Edition, which is unrestricted and includes facilities for producing screen savers, wallpaper and album back-up folders and costs AU$69.95. Photo2Album’s compression techniques allow users to cram over 100 photos and background music into a 3D digital photo album and produce a file of only 1 MB. The recipient does not need Photo2Album or any pre-installed software to view the album. Shots can be assembled in any order by dragging them and there are several classic photo album covers to choose from. Users can also customise their own album cover with photos, text and colour.
Photos and album pages can be edited with the built-in Photo2Album Image Editor. Users can also assemble Autorun Photo Album CDs with effects and music that run directly on a PC without any software, or a Photo VCD that can be played on a VCD/DVD player. Both versions of Photo2Album – and full details of AvailaSoft products – are available at http://www.photo2album.com.au and http://www.availasoft.com.
