March 6, 2009: The Polaroid PoGo instant mobile printer available now in Australia through Kmart, Paxtons and Ted’s Camera House stores.
Roughly the size of a pack of cards, the Polaroid PoGo uses ZINK Zero Ink printing technology to deliver digital instant prints in less than 60 seconds. The borderless prints measure 5.08 x 7.62 cm and have a peel-off backing allowing users to stick them in photo books, on book covers or anywhere the moment calls for. The PoGo printer comes with built-in USB and wireless Bluetooth interfaces for printing directly from a camera-phone or digital camera.

Built-in Bluetooth connectivity enables direct printing from Camera-phones.
The ZINK technology is contained in special ZINK paper and also in the printer itself. Heat activates special crystals that produce cyan, magenta and yellow dyes within the paper. Prints are smudge-proof, water-resistant and tear and fade resistant. The PoGo printer has an RRP of $269.95, with 30-sheet paper refills selling for $19.95 and 10-sheet refills for $6.95, which equates to just under 70 cents per sheet.
