June 1, 2006: LaCie Australia has just released a special LCD monitor for digital imaging professionals that features a patent-pending anti-glare surround. The new 19-inch LaCie 119 model, which sells for $849, comes with the LaFrame anti-reflective black cloth screen that reduces the glare caused by ambient lighting and makes work stand out. The Premium MVA (Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) LCD panel offers a high contrast ratio of 1000:1 and wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 170 degrees. The monitor itself sits on a flexible stand, which can be height-adjusted, tilted and swiveled. Compatible with both PC and Mac workstations, it offers both analog (VGA) and digital (DVI) video interfaces. The new monitor is compatible with the LaCie ergonomic desk clamp and extendable arm and LaCie blue eye 2 calibration solution (both sold separately).
