: Kodak has unveiled a new EasyShare digital camera with a 9.04mm, 6-megapixel CCD sensor and Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 3x zoom lens.

The new DX7630 Zoom supports full-auto shooting but includes a range of manual controls, including adjustments for aperture settings, shutter speed (1/1400 to 64 seconds), exposure compensation and automatic bracketing, and ISO equivalents. Aperture priority, shutter priority, program and custom modes are provided, along with 16 scene modes including sport, portrait, night, landscape, macro and automatic. Other handy functions include selectable sharpness, up to 8X magnification in review mode, flash compensation and first and last burst modes and video can be recorded at 24 fps with capacity limited only by available memory.
The DX7630 Zoom comes with 32 MB of internal memory plus a SD/MMC expansion slot. Its high-performance digital signal processor and hybrid (phase/contrast detection) AF system support continuous autofocusing with a click-to-capture of 0.3 seconds. Selectable focus zones and exposure metering are also provided. The large 2.2-inch LCD monitor features indoor/outdoor visibility and the Share button allows easy picture sharing, with up to 32 e-mail addresses stored in the camera’s memory.
