The new Smart Capture technology consists of Intelligent Scene Detection, which analyses the scene and automatically adjusts camera settings to deliver the best picture possible. This function can detect and track up to five faces and select the most prominent face from several in a scene. It automatically sets exposure, focus and flash settings. Intelligent Capture Control automatically sets exposure, focus and ISO settings and automatically switches to macro focus when the subject is less than 70 cm away.
The Intelligent Image Processing feature includes an Expanded Dynamic Range Mode that helps to reduce noise and uses Kodak Perfect Touch to provide greater detail in both the highlight and shadow areas. It also sets ISO sensitivity to produce optimal results in low light levels. The new cameras will be offered through leading white good and office outlets.
