Nikon has released firmware updates for its Coolpix B500 and Coolpix S9700 digicams and the D5000 and D3400 DSLR cameras.
Firmware Version 1.1 for the Coolpix B500 adds support for the iOS version of SnapBridge and updates some of the Help text. Firmware Version 1.2 for the Coolpix S9700 fixes an issue that in rare cases caused one of several images after the first to be corrupted after a few hundred photos were taken with On selected for Points of interest (POI) > Display POI.
The D5000 firmware supplies a service for the D5000 that simultaneously updates the ‘A’ firmware to version 1.01 and the ‘B’ firmware to version 1.00. It fixes an issue that caused the camera to stop responding if an ML-L3 remote control was used to take pictures in live view withOn selected for Image review in the PLAYBACK MENU after red-eye reduction was selected as the flash mode.
Firmware Version 1.10 for the D3400 adds support for the iOS version of SnapBridge.
