November 13, 2007: Epson has released a new single-function printer that is targeted at home office and small business users and sells for $149 (RRP).
The Stylus C110 features Epson’s improved DURABrite(TM) Ultra ink which produces sharper black text and is resistant to smudging, fading and water marks. It also offers up to 120 years light fastness. Epson claims the new inks produce photo prints that are up to 50 per cent glossier than the previous ink set. The Stylus C110 uses five individual Intellidge ink cartridges including dual black inks and offers document printing speeds of up to 37 pages/minute.
The combination of Epson’s MicroPiezo print head and Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) gives the Stylus C110 a resolution of up to 5760 optimised dpi. Bundled Epson PhotoEnhance software enables users to produce the optimum photos every time by automatically adjusting the colour balance to allow for the different requirements of portraits, landscapes or people. The printer is supplied with a USB cable allowing users to operate it immediately after unpacking it.
