July 13, 2007: Casio’s 12-megapixel Exilim Zoom EX-Z1200 digicam is scheduled for local release this month at an RRP of $649.
Available in silver or black, the new model has the highest resolution currently available in a slimline digicam. It sports a 3x optical zoom lens (37-111mm in 35mm format) and 2.8-inch Wide and Bright LCD display with a maximum brightness of 1400cd/m2 at centre of the screen, which is usable in bright outdoor lighting. Auto-tracking AF is combined with face detection AF/AE, making it ideal for family snapshooters. CCD-shift image stabilisation is provided, along with the latest EXILIM Engine 2.0 image processing module, which includes motion analysis technology. This automatically analyses the velocity and vector of a moving subject and selects the most appropriate ISO sensitivity and shutter speed for the shot.
