Photographers are invited to submit images and bodies of work for consideration in the up-coming Head On Photo Festival 2026 in Sydney, which is scheduled for November 2026.
The event has been created to showcase outstanding work from enthusiast, emerging and established artists in a variety of online and in-person exhibitions and events across Sydney, with select exhibitions touring nationally and internationally. Head On organisers will invite successful applicants to exhibit as part of the Festival as either Open or Featured Exhibitors and will cover production, curatorial and promotion costs for Featured Exhibitors so artists can focus on their practice. One submission will also receive a $5,000 cash award.
Early bird entries are open now but will end on 8 March 2026 (Sydney time). Each entry attracts a fee of AUD$30, with discounts for entrants under 25 years of age as at 29 March 2026 and for Festival Friend subscribers. After that date fees will rise by AUD$5. Click here for more information.
