August 3, 2009: Sanyo has released a new 12-megapixel digicam, the VPC-X1200, which is designed for snapshooters who want a compact, easy to use, point-and-shoot digital camera.
Featuring a 2.7-inch LCD monitor and 3x optical zoom lens, the VPC-X1200 supports 4x digital zoom magnification and also comes with smile and face detection technology. Red-eye reduction flash technology and an ISO sensitivity (Switchable by Recording Menu) of up to 3200 allows the VPC-X1200 to be used in a wide variety of light levels. A built-in digital image stabiliser is provided for counteracting camera shake.
The VPC-X1200 also comes with a convenient screen capture function that allows individual windows on a computer’s monitor display to be saved in the camera.
