Likely to be very popular with users, the new AI Close-Ups function provides a quick way to scan through multiple image files, thanks to new AI-driven tools. AI can detect people and zoom in on the sharpest details, quickly identify and reject group shots in which somebody blinked, making it easy to find the ‘keepers’ from multiple shots. Subject detection capabilities also include animals such as household pets, birds (including birds in flight), vehicles and airplanes can also be picked out. Another new feature, AI Resize can resize images without distortion or pixellation and/or fill in missing details with generative reconstruction. Split View pulls up before and after images of edits for side-by-side comparison, with the ability to split the screen either vertically or horizontally.
A new filmstrip view combines with more intuitive Photo Book layout gives users greater control when compiling their photo books. Easy drag-and-drop functionality in page previews makes changing layouts simple. Other improvements have been made to retouching tools and new crop marks allow users to compose images along diagonals, triangles or the golden spiral instead of in the standard rectangle format. Two new additions to video editing provide improvements to editing tools for audio tracks and the ability to copy objects, clips and text between videos. Full support has now been included for all Loupedeck and Logitech editing consoles.
