Sigma has released details of three new lenses; two fast wide-angle primes – the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary and 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art – plus the AF Cine Line 28-105mm T3 FF zoom.

The new lenses were officially announced on the opening day of the CP+ show in Yokohama, with the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary going on sale from 12 March and the Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art and AF Cine Line 28-105mm T3 FF scheduled for release on 16 April.
Designed for use on cameras with APS-C sized sensors, the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary lens is the successor to the Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary lens and will be offered in Sony E, Fujifilm X and Canon RF mounts. Encompassing a wider, 86.9-degree field of view, its optical design consists of 13 elements in 11 groups and includes one FLD, three SLD and three aspherical elements plus a nine-bladed rounded iris diaphragm. Its minimum aperture is f/16 and it has a minimum focusing distance of 17.7 cm for a maximum magnification ratio of 1:7.9. It accepts 58 mm filters and is 64.8 mm long with a diameter of 64 mm and a weight of 220 grams (for the Sony E-mount).
The second-generation Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art builds on the legacy of Sigma’s 35mm F1.4 Art line and sets a new performance benchmark with a compact, and lightweight (530 grams for the L-mount version) design, and high-speed AF driven by Dual HLA motors. Its optical design contains 15 elements in 12 groups and includes two SLD and four aspherical elements plus an 11-bladed, rounded diaphragm. It has a minimum aperture of f/16, minimum focus of 28 cam and maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.4. This lens is 94 mm long with a diameter of 73 mm, and accepts 67 mm filters.

The AF Cine Line 28-105mm T3 FF is a new addition to Sigma’s Cine Lens series and will be offered in L-Mount and Sony E-mount versions. Covering a focal range from 28mm to 105mm at a constant T3, this versatile lens features high-precision autofocus with excellent tracking capability, combined with the ergonomics required for professional cinema production.
