Panasonic has released a beta software program for Windows is based on LUMIX Tether (Ver.1.7) with an additional display option for live streaming.

The new software is used to capture a camera view for live streaming and makes it easy for separate streaming software to read it. An external microphone and third-party broadcast application will be required to capture the Live View screen from the camera. Streamed video quality is likely to be noticeably better than that provided by webcams.

Being a pre-release version, it is currently still under development. Compatible camera models are: DC-GH5, DC-G9, DC-GH5S, DC-S1, DC-S1R, DC-S1H. The software requires a Windows 10 computer with 32 bit or 64 bit capability plus an Intel  CPU of 1 GHz or higher and a minimum display resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. 1GB or more of RAM is required for 32bit systems or 2GB or more for 64bit systems. At least 200 MB of hard disk space is required to install the software, along with a USB 3.0/3.1 interface.
