Local Nikon distributor, Maxwell Optical Industries, has announced the RRPs and release dates for the new Nikon D200 camera and compatible lenses, flash equipment and close-up kits, which were unveiled at the same time.
 December 2, 2005: Local Nikon distributor, Maxwell Optical Industries, has announced the RRPs and release dates for the new Nikon D200 camera and compatible lenses, flash equipment and close-up kits, which were unveiled at the same time. Shipments of the D200 are expected to arrive in Australia late in December. The camera body will be priced at $2899 and three special body-plus-lens deals are being offered. The D200 body with the new Nikkor 18 – 200mm lens will sell for $3999; the D200 body with the Nikkor 17-55mm lens is priced at $5299 and the D200 with both 17-55mm and 70-200mm lenses will be sold for $7999. The Nikkor AF-S 18-200mm will have an RRP of $1299 when sold as a stand-alone item. Among the accessories, the Nikon Wireless Remote Speedlight SB-R200 will sell for $299, while the Wireless Speedlight Commander SU-800, which can be used in multiple-flash set-ups, is priced at $449. Close-up kits are also available, with the R1 Close up remote kit selling for $899 and the R1C1 Close up Commander Kit for $1299. Each kit includes the SB-R200, Speedlight stand AS-20, Soft Case SS-R200, Filter Set SJ-R200, and Colour Filter Holder SZ-1. Full product details can be found at www.maxwell.com.au. |
