Nikon has released a firmware update for its D3 DSLR camera and software updates for Capture NX and View NX.

 

April 17, 2008: Nikon has released a firmware update for its D3 DSLR camera and software updates for Capture NX and View NX.
Version 1.10 of the D3 firmware adds Vignette control and Focus point brightness controls to the shooting and Custom Settings facilities. Changes have also been made to the Highlights playback display, ø¢â‚¬Å“Lø¢â‚¬ command lock, ø¢â‚¬Å“Demoø¢â‚¬ display and ISO functions. The AF assist illuminator will now light when a compatible Speedlight or Wireless Speedlight Commander is attached, regardless of the lens focal length and improvements have been made to live view shooting. Capture NX 1.3.3. for Windows and Mac includes support for the D3 camera and the modifications provided in firmware update 1.10. Other issues relating to saving TIFF files with LZW resolution, using the Dust Off Reference Photo, applying Picture Control settings and white balance tuning have also been resolved. View NX 1.0.4 includes support for the D3 vignette options plus modifications to the Camera Settings palette and other bug fixes.
