: The latest pro-sumer camcorders from Panasonic combine 3CCD technology with Leica optics to offer users high imaging performance and professional video quality. The new NV-GS200 and NV-GS120 camcorders feature Panasonic’s most advanced digital technologies along with easy to access controls and ‘direct select’ features that make them simple to operate. Panasonic’s 3CCD imaging system uses separate CCDs to reproduce the red, green and blue colours. When the colour signals are combined, the resulting images are more colour accurate and true-to-life and the video has greater depth and presence. Both models are fitted with a 12-element, multi-coated Leica Dicomar lens, which has a 10x optical zoom range and supports 700x digital zoom.A Macro Zoom feature lets users shoot extreme close-ups as close as 40cm. The 2.3 megapixel NV-GS200 is expected to sell for $2,419, while the 1.7 megapixel NV-GS120 is priced at $1,979. Both models include SD card slots for still image capture. The NV-GS200 features MPEG4 movie recording capability, allowing users to create clip libraries and presentations, or attach video clips to an e-mail. They can also be used as webcams. Both models are USB 2.0 compatible for fast data transfer to a PC and both are supplied with an 8MB SD Card, USB driver, SD Viewer, G.726 WEB camera driver, DV Studio for USB, ArcSoft PhotoImpression 4.0, PanoramaMaker 3.0, PhotoMontage 2.0 and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
