September 17, 2009: AOC has released a new 20-inch widescreen monitor with low power consumption, dual inputs and a 160-degree viewing angle.
Part of the 36 series, the new 2036Va provides a16:9 aspect ratio for HD viewing and includes a USB port for easier access to peripheral devices. It also features a fast response time of 5ms for sharp moving images with no motion blur and comes with built-in speakers. The Ultra-high Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR) displays details at a ratio of 60000:1, allowing the user to see the darker areas of the content with greater depth.

AOC’s i-Bright technology reduces backlight CCFL for lower power consumption and reduced mercury levels. In power saving mode, the monitor uses only 50% of the power compared to normal operation, without affecting the image quality. The 2036Va also provides aspect ratio control. With 4:3 input, automatic switching display formats from 4:3 to 16:9 matches the input format and prevents the distortion of images. There is also a convenient hotkey for easy adjustment.
The AOC 36 Series 20″ 2036Va monitor has an RRP of $219 and is distributed by Altech Computers. For more information, visit www.aocmonitor-anz.com.
