June 10, 2010: A new medium-capacity camera backpack, the Bumblebee-220 PL, has been added to Kata’s Pro-Light range.
Designed to hold two or three DSLR camera bodies plus up to eight lenses and other accessories, it also accommodates a small (17-inch) laptop. Alternatively, it can be used for small HDV camcorders plus accessories. The new pack has been designed for comfort and protection. A specially-formed, foam-encased spring steel Spine Guard runs down the front of the bag and an Aluminium Skeleton stave arcs across the mid section. Durable RipStop fabrics and meshes, Aeriform foams and Spider Webbing straps all join together to create a protective and light backpack.
The main compartment is customisable and can be accessed from top, bottom or any other point, enabling photographers to reach equipment without having to open the entire bag and expose its content to prying eyes. Additional storage space is available in the large full length rear laptop slot. An external top pocket and two side pockets will store personal effects and small accessories, while a flexible pocket on the other side will easily carry a water bottle. The dual-purpose pocket on the bottom front of the bag can be used either for additional storage or as a docking base to secure a small tripod.
The Bumblebee-220 PL features an advanced ergonomic harness system with comfortable moulded EVA foam harness straps, a soft moulded 3D foam back pad, an aluminium clinch connection sternum strap, an adjustable and removable waist band and two strap loops for the included Aeriform camera strap. Ergonomic Photo System (EPH) tabs allow other Kata products to be connected. For more information, phone Adeal on (03) 8369 4414.
