ImageTank Data Storage

Two new Image Tank portable digital storage devices have been released for serious digital photographers.

Image Tank G2 is a second-generation product that features better performance and usability than the popular Image Tank G1, which allowed fast and easy data transfer between camera memory cards and computer-based storage. Available in capacities from 30GB and above, it supports CompactFlash cards directly and is compatible with other media cards including SmartMedia, SD (SecureDigital), MMC and the Memory Stick via adaptors. An in-built formatter for the cards is provided.

Other features include a backlit LCD, easy to use interface and fast USB 2.0 connectivity. The battery supports up to 2 hours of operational usage. Users can extend the operability of the Image Tank G2 with the Image Tank iPower 826, an external 2000mAh Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. This unit provides adjustable voltages of 3.6V to 7.2V to suit many portable devices with multiple LED status indicators, and features voltage protection.

The Image Tank G2 30GB retails for $549.00, while the Image Tank iPower 826 sells for $129.00. Both products are distributed by EFx Systems (www.efx.com.au).
