The pocket-sized XF10 will be offered in gold and black and features an APS-C sized sensor and a Fujinon 18.5mm f/2.8 prime lens with a coverage angle equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format. Weighing only 280 grams it is ideal for travellers and social enthusiasts and brings 4K movie recording and high-speed video to complement the camera’s superior image quality and automatic transfer capabilities. The 24.2-megapixel sensor combined with Fujifilm’s proprietary colour reproduction technology allows the XF10 to produce high quality images with a wide dynamic range.

The new camera provides 11 proprietary Film Simulation modes plus 19 advanced filters, including two new advanced filters: Rich & Fine and Monochrome [NIR]. The latter simulates a monochrome effect resembling near-infrared tonality. A new SQUARE MODE setting provides an instant switch to the popular 1:1 aspect ratio used for posting photos to social media channels. Enhanced Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to automatically transfer images directly to a smartphone. The XF10 will be available in Australia in August 2018, for AU$799 (RRP). Fujifilm has also announced its intention to develop two further lenses for the X-Series range, the super-fast Fujinon XF200mm f/2 R LM OIS WR telephoto lens and the Fujinon XF8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR ultra-wide angle zoom lens. No further details have been released. In a separate announcement, Fujifilm has highlighted the impending release of firmware updates for its X-T100 and X-A5 cameras. Due for release in August, the updates are based on feedback received by X Series users.
