As well as adding support for the new Creators’ App mobile application, which replaces the Imaging Edge Mobile app, the new firmware, Version 2.01, adds support for the Monitor & Control app, which enables video monitoring and remote operation of the camera via a smartphone or tablet. In addition, the following shooting and playback functions have been updated with support for Relay Playback, Breathing Compensation, Image Stabilisation with Body-Lens Coordinated control and importing/switching multiple IPTC Presets as well as the Sync Release function that releases the shutters of multiple sub-cameras in conjunction with the main camera’s shutter timing. Support for the C2PA content credentialing format has also been added, although the license availability date is undecided.
FTP transfer and network functions, which allow users to upload camera images directly to the Creators’ Cloud app have been fine-tuned to include automatic scheduling for FTP transfer and protection of protected movies and still images, support for USB streaming and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) as well as the addition of WPA3-SAE support to the Wireless LAN security system. Other minor issues have been addresses and the operational stability of the camera has been improved.
