June 7, 2011: Photographers competing in the 2012 Sony World Photography Awards must have their submissions in by the closing date of 04 January, 2012.
This year’s competition includes a Professional competition, which invites entries from the world’s leading photographers and ø¢â‚¬Ëœserious enthusiasts’, and an Open competition for everyone with an interest in photography. Each competition has been refreshed with new categories for 2012. A ø¢â‚¬ËœNature & Wildlife’ category has been introduced to the Professional competition and three new categories in the Open competition include ø¢â‚¬ËœEnhanced’, ø¢â‚¬ËœSplit Second’ and ø¢â‚¬ËœLow- light’.
