Konica Minolta’s “Anti-Shake” technology has been declared as the European Photo Innovation of the Year 2004-2005. Fitted in the current DiMAGE A2 model and the forthcoming DiMAGE Z3 and Dynax 7 Digital DSLR, it compensates for camera movement by adjusting the position of the CCD sensor. Epson has also taken out the European Scanner of the Year 2004-2005 award for its Perfection 4870 Photo scanner, which was described by judges as “beating all competitors in this price range”.
These products join Nikon’s D70 digital SLR, which was announced as the European Digital SLR Camera of The Year, giving it the third major award since its introduction. The D70 also took out the Japan Camera Grand Prix, 2004 and was voted as Digital SLR of The Year 2004 by the Technical and Image Press Association (TIPA).
