Adobe has added the ability to create trained custom models optimised for the user’s particular styles, giving them reusable workflow models trained on their own images.

As indicated by the graphic above, the new addition will be more relevant to graphic designers and business users than individual photographers, although it’s open to experimentation by all Photoshop users. According to Adobe, Custom Models are especially powerful for three types of creative work:

  • Illustration styles, where stroke weight, fills and color consistency matter
  • Characters, where the same character needs to appear consistently across scenes
  • Photographic styles, where a specific visual look needs to repeat across many images

Once trained, each custom model can become part of the user’s workflow and all models created belong exclusively to those who created them. Click here for more information.
