Located in Spring Hill, Brisbane, GR SPACE BRISBANE follows in the footsteps of existing venues in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Beijing and will serve as a meeting place for photographers, artists, and enthusiasts to connect, learn, and showcase their work.
To mark this occasion, the inaugural exhibition, titled simply “IV”, will feature the work of four GRists, each presenting their first creations made with the GR IV.
In addition to the photographic exhibition, GR SPACE BRISBANE will also showcase a curated collection of photobooks, carefully selected by Booktopia, as well as workshops and events for the local photography community.
The exhibited works will be produced as fine art prints on Ilford Galerie Fine Art Papers, underscoring the GR series commitment to image quality and creative expression.
“The GR series has always been more than just a camera – it’s a movement, a culture, and a way of seeing the world,” said Director Clem Kennedy. “We are creating a place to promote Australian homegrown talent, and we are honoured to open our doors at the same time as the global launch of the RICOH GR IV.”
