Dust OFX is new video editing plugin for DaVinci Resolve that uses neural networks to automatically remove dust and small particles from video footage.
Developed by Estonian software company, Retouch4me, it will be a real time-saver for commercial and stock videographers, product filmmakers, unboxing content creators, and tech reviewers who previously had to spend hours manually removing dust and fibre contaminants from their shots. Dust is one of the most common issues when shooting high-resolution commercial video. Even tiny specks are visible on dark clothing, and macro product shots can reveal every tiny particle. The Dust neural network was trained from scratch on professionally retouched photos to enable it to detect particles, track them across frames and remove them without blurring surrounding areas. The plugin supports video up to 4K resolution and is compatible with DaVinci Resolve 18 and later on Windows and macOS. It also works in other video editors that support OFX plugins.
