DxO Labs has released the latest update to its Nik Collection of creative plugins and special effects tools with user-requested refinements and performance improvements.
Nik software is renowned for its U Point technology, which enables users to make precise selections without needing a mask or any other complex tools. (Source: DxO Labs.)
Nik Collection 8.1 builds on the foundation of version 8 but adds the following user-requested refinements and performance improvements that make editing even smoother:
- Original image comparison in Silver Efex: Users can now toggle between the edited version and the original colour image while working in black and white. This makes it easier to fine-tune tonal choices and filter settings.
- Stability and performance improvements: A suite of small fixes across all plugins enhances reliability and usability, creating a faster, more stable experience
For a limited time, photographers who purchase a new licence or buy Nik Collection 8.1 as an upgrade can choose between DxO PhotoLab 8 Essential Edition or DxO ViewPoint 5 as a free bonus to complement their workflow.
Nik Collection 8.1 is available today from the DxO website (http://shop.dxo.com/) for macOS and Windows computers: New license US$159.99; Upgrade from Nik Collection 6 or 7 US$89.99
