The new camera features an enhanced 100-megapixel medium format BSI CMOS sensor and delivers true-to-life colour with 16-bit colour depth, powered by the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution with High Dynamic Range (HNCS HDR). HDR images captured with X2D II 100C can be viewed directly on the built-in 1400-nit touchscreen or on compatible MacBook Pro models. When SDR photography is preferred, simply switch modes in camera settings. The X2D II 100C also introduces a new AF-C mode, for reliable continuous autofocusing, which accurately detects and tracks moving subjects. Subject detection combines with 10-stop stabilisation to deliver sharp images with speed and precision—even in challenging conditions. In AF-S mode, 425 PDAF zones that spread over the 100-megapixel sensor work with the LiDAR for fast, accurate focusing. A new AF illuminator improves autofocus performance in low light and doubles as a self-timer indicator. New focus point modes extend the camera’s capabilities beyond the existing Spot mode, with the addition of Expand Spot, Custom and Wide modes.
The Hasselblad X2D II 100C is available to pre-order through local distributor, CR Kennedy & Company. It carries an RRP of AU$12.650 for the body alone.
