Since its inception in 2015, the IAPB World Sight Day Photo Competition has captured powerful moments that highlight the importance of eye health, the impact of vision loss, and the remarkable efforts of individuals and organisations working to ensure that everyone, everywhere can see clearly. Now celebrating its 10th year, the competition, made possible with the support of Bayer, invites both amateur and professional photographers from around the world to showcase their skills and share their stories about what it means to #LoveYourEyes. This year’s competition introduces a refreshed set of categories, including Love Your Eyes, Love Your Child’s Eyes, Love Your Eyes at Work, Love Health for All, and Eyes in Focus. Each category calls for images that demonstrate the importance of eye health and celebrate real stories of change and empowerment.
To mark the milestone anniversary, IAPB has also unveiled a special digital exhibition: Celebrating 10 Years of the World Sight Day Photo Competition. This curated gallery will feature standout entries and winning images from the past decade, celebrating the photographers and moments that have helped drive a global movement for vision.
Submissions are now open at www.iapb.world/photo_competition. The competition closes on 20 October 2025; winners will be announced on 4 November 2025. Winners will receive a cash prize, of US$1,000.
