Entries to the annual Sony World Photography Awards competition will close in early January for three of the main competitions.

The Awards are open to all photographers worldwide, free to enter. They provide opportunities for aspiring and professional photographers to showcase their talents. The closing date for the Open and Youth competitions is 6 January 2026, while the Professional competition will close on 13 January. The winners will be announced on April 16 2026; they will be recognised at a special awards ceremony, included in the major exhibition at London’s iconic Somerset House, and in the annual Awards book.
