A few years ago, I had the opportunity to tour Egypt. On a windless day “sailing” down the Nile River, I was in the right place at the right time to get this.

Don’s response

The splendid and graceful gaff-rigged vessels in this picture are synonymous with Egypt and the Nile. Given that he was with a tour group at the time, photographer Mark O’Reilly wouldn’t have had much control over his position relative to the main subjects of his picture. That being the case, my first thought on seeing this image was that it would be stronger if Mark cropped it so as to exclude all but the central four boats.
