Photographers will appreciate the Olympus C-760 UZ’s P, A, S and M shooting modes, four scene programs and ‘super macro’ shooting to 3cm. The 10x zoom lens is fast at both the wide and tele positions and the EVF is bright and clear, with diopter adjustment (but a rather low eyepoint). The 1.8-inch LCD monitor is bright and easily adjusted and the menu system easy to use. You can access a range of ‘shortcut menus’, depending on the shooting mode setting, and save up to four sets of frequently-used shooting parameters. Seven still resolution settings are provided and VGA movie clips can be recorded at 15fps. Camera Shake Protection kicks in at low light levels to boost ISO sensitivity and adjust the shutter speed and flash activation parameters. This increases image noise, which is noticeable at ISO 400.
