The new Zeiss Batis 2/25 and 1.8/85 lenses are the first full-frame autofocus lenses with an OLED display for the Sony ? series of CSCs with 36 x 24 mm image sensors. They include a new OLED display that shows the distance of the focal plane from the camera system and the depth of field as the aperture is adjusted. This display is readable in low light levels.
Linear motors provide a fast, quiet AF drive that is ideal for shooting stills and movie clips and manual focus over-ride is supported. Each lens has an electronically adjusted diaphragm with nine blades to ensure attractive bokeh. Dust- and weather-proof sealing enable the lenses to be used in adverse conditions. Both lenses support the full range of operating modes and functions in current Sony E mount cameras.
The new lenses are scheduled for release from July 2015. Visit http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/website/landing_pages/batis.html for more information.
