The Pixel Place is scouring the world for digital photo submissions to its “World’s Next Top Digital Photographer” contest.

 

November 24, 2007: The Pixel Place is scouring the world for digital photo submissions to its “World’s Next Top Digital Photographer” contest.
Open to digital photographers of 21 and over, the contest requires entries to be taken with a digital camera by the submitting photographer. The photographer may submit any subject matter except for material that could be considered illegal, obscene, provocative, questionable or pornographic in nature. Entries must be colour digital images in JPEG or TIFF format. RAW files are not accepted. Photos may be processed, edited or cropped. Excessive image manipulations are not acceptable. Images must be a minimum of 6MP.
An individual may enter one photo per contest cycle while the contest is running. Individuals who submit more than one image will have all submitted images disqualified. The photographer retains their copyright and grants the Pixel Place usage rights only. Entries will be judged equally on the basis of creativity, composition, photographic quality, universal appeal and impact.
The overall winner will receive a personalised commemorative plaque, a large format print of the winning photo and will be featured on The Pixel Place’s new website, which will being launched in the second quarter of 2008.
