The World Press Photo foundation has announced the dates and venues for its touring exhibition of prize-winning photographs from this year’s competition.

With around 100 local exhibitions produced every year that attract around 3.5 million visitors, this year’s exhibition season starts during the Awards Days in Amsterdam and continues its journey into the following year. In addition to the World Press Photo 13 yearbook, visitors to this year’s exhibition can enjoy a new mobile app, the Exhibition Guide. By combining several modes of access to the World Press Photo Contest’s extensive content, World Press Photo 13 exhibition visitors can have a much richer experience, both during and after their visit, on- and offline. The app is free and available for both iPhone and Android smart-phones. Visitors to this year’s exhibition will also see more sports images and portraits, thanks to an adjustment in this year’s contest categories.

In Australia, the exhibition can be seen at two venues: Brisbane Powerhouse from 1 to 23 June and the State Library of NSW in Sydney between 29 June and 26 July.

Full details of all venues worldwide that will host the exhibition can be found at http://www.worldpressphoto.org/events?name=&tid=All&past_events=0. World Press Photo receives support from the Dutch Postcode Lottery and is sponsored worldwide by Canon.
