An exhibition of winning images from the latest World Press Photo competition opens at the State Library of New South Wales in Sydney on 27 May.

Eduarda lives with seven siblings in one of the abandoned apartment blocks in Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The images will be on display until 25 June and entry is free of charge. All images have been drawn from the 2016 contest, which had 80,408 images submitted by 5034 press photographers, photojournalists and documentary photographers from 126 countries. The exhibition is brought to Sydney by Canon Australia.
