April 11, 2008: Western Digital (WD) has expanded its portable storage range with the addition of new My Passport Elite portable USB drives in 320GB and 250GB capacities.
Weighing approximately 140 grams, the new My Passport Elite drives are small enough to fit in a pocket. They are also USB-bus powered and, consequently, do not require an external power adapter. A capacity gauge allows users to see at a glance how much space is available. Each drive is supplied with automatic backup software, which lets users designate files and folders for automatic and continuous backup plus synchronisation software that lets users sync their changes and protect their information with 128-bit encryption.
The new My Passport Elite drives are available in two elegant, soft-touch colours: bronze and titanium. Each drive comes with a 5-year limited warranty. The 250GB drive is priced at A$199, while the 320GB drive has an RRP of A$279. For more information visit www.westerndigital.com.
