May 24, 2007: Canadian manufacturer, VisibleDust, which specialises in sensor-cleaning products, has launched its new Sensor Loupe device, which has been developed specifically for examining the sensor of a DSLR. The new Sensor Loupe, which contains six super-bright LEDs, uses Brite Vue XL-based lighting technology to accentuate the debris in a three dimensional view. The device is designed to minimise the amount of digital editing a photographer will have to do and also reduce the number of potentially harmful cleanings. It provides 5x optical magnification and its optical glass components are coated with magnesium fluoride to minimise chromatic aberrations and seal the lens so that no mildew buildup occurs. The Sensor Loupe may also be used to examine other areas of the camera body. The device comes with a carrying case, neck strap, and a micro fiber cloth for cleaning the lens. Retail price is US$69.95 or CAN$79.95. For more information, visit www.visibleduct.com. |
