April 2, 2007: ViewSonic Corporation has released details of its VX2835wm, which claims to be the first 28-inch LCD monitor with a 3 millisecond response time.
Large enough to let users view two documents side-by-side, or two multimedia applications at once, along with a navigational tool bar, the new display features a HDMI with HDCP input, ClearMotiv II technology, a 1920×1200 native resolution, 500 nits of brightness (typ) and a 1000:1 contrast ratio (typ) for vivid and life-like images, games and movies. Opticolor technology optimises colour and skin tones within movies, games and photos. The ViewSonic VX2835wm includes 3D interlacing technology or smoother, sharper full-motion video. Multi-functional inputs support a variety of digital content, including VGA, DVI-D, composite, S-Video and component interface. Integrated full-sound stereo speakers and a power supply are fitted into the display’s curved, thin bezel, freeing up valuable desktop space.
The ViewSonic VX2835wm is Microsoft Windows Vista Premium certified, allowing users to take advantage of the fast graphic processing speeds and pictorial enhancements. It can be wall mounted, and is environmentally friendly with standby power consumption below one watt. The ViewSonic VX2835wm will be available in Australia in July, with pricing to be confirmed.
