October 15, 2007: Computer monitor specialist, ViewSonic Corporation, has launched a new range of digital photo frames that offer a high-quality display at a competitive price.
Selling for $199, the 7-inch ViewSonic DP701W4 wireless digital picture frame is available in glossy black or white and comes with 128MB of internal memory standard and a maximum memory of 1GB. Pictures can be uploaded to the DP701W4 via a USB cable or directly from a camera’s memory card. The frame can read most types of memory card and will display either JPEG or BMP files. Images are displayed wit a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels and a 400:1 contrast ratio, which is wider than most competing frames.
Users can browse and display photos individually, view thumbnails or create a slideshow with transition effects. A typical response time of 30 ms creates a smooth progression from image to image. Beyond personal photo displaying, the frame’s ease-of-use also makes it ideal for businesses, enabling them to quickly change and update sales and welcome signs at minimal cost.
The DP701W4 digital picture frame line is compliant with the Australian safety and environmental standards, including TCO and ENERGY STAR, and is made with environmentally friendly materials. For more information visit www.viewsonic.com.au.
