Well-known imaging technology writer and lecturer, Bruce Fraser, passed away on December 16, 2006 after a long battle with lung cancer.

 

January 8, 2007: Well-known imaging technology writer and lecturer, Bruce Fraser, passed away on December 16, 2006 after a long battle with lung cancer.
Fraser, who is best known for his books Real World Colour Management, Real World Adobe Photoshop CS2, Real World Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Real World Image Sharpening, was a contributing editor for the former MacWeek and MacUser magazines as well as their replacement, Macworld. He was also a partner in PixelGenius, LLC, where he designed PhotoKit Sharpener. Many of the merits of Adobe Camera Raw owe a debt to Bruce Fraser. He was a regular speaker on digital imaging and colour reproduction at numerous conferences and functions and visited Australia several times in this role.
A tribute to his life and accomplishments will be held at the Macworld on the evening of January 10, 2007. Details can be found at www.photoshopnews.com.
