November 6, 2006: Epson has released two new inkjet printers, the Stylus Photo R390 for photo enthusiasts and the Stylus Photo RX590 “More-in-One” for the small office or home environment.
The Stylus Photo RX590 (RRP $399) combines printing, copying and scanning capabilities and offers direct-to-surface CD and DVD printing. The scanner’s resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi and copying is supported at 30 copies per minute (cpm) in either colour or mono. Easy Photo Fix allows the Stylus Photo RX590 scanner to restore faded photos in stand alone mode. A 2.5-inch LCD colour preview screen is provided and both models include a multi-format memory card reader that accepts popular memory cards such as xD, CompactFlash (CF) Type II, and Memory Stick. USB Direct Print, PictBridge and optional Bluetooth are also supported and both models also feature infrared connectivity.
