The new AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR is the first in the range to feature an aspherical Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element, which is designed to correct several typical lens aberrations. A fluorine coating is also applied to the front and rear lens to effectively repel dust, water droplets, grease and dirt for easy maintenance on the move. This lens also comes with an advanced Vibration Reduction (VR) system that claims up to four f-stops of shake compensation plus an improved Silent Wave Motor (SWM) autofocusing mechanism that is 1.5 times faster and more accurate.

Stable auto exposure control is achieved with through an electromagnetic aperture mechanism, which operates even during high-speed continuous shooting. The 24-70mm focal length span represents a 2.9x normal zoom range, which is ideal for general-purpose photography, while the f/2.8 maximum aperture provides depth of field control. This lens is due to go on sale in Australia on 27 August 2015. Visit https://mynikonlife.com.au/gear/nikkor-lenses/af-s-24-70mm-f2-8e-ed-vr for more information.

Designed for landscape and architectural photographers, the new AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G ED lens has a fast f/1.8 maximum aperture but is compact enough for travellers to use, weighing only 355 grams. Its optical design includes ED glass and aspherical lens elements, which reduce chromatic aberration and distortion, while Nano Crystal Coating minimises unwanted ghosting and lens flare. When attached to a DX-format DSLR, the angle of view is equivalent to that of a lens with a focal length of 36mm in FX/35mm format. The AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR telephoto zoom lens.(Source: Nikon.)

Nikon’s latest telephoto zoom lens, the AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR, is ideal for photographing sports, wildlife or any other kind of action where the subject is a long way from the photographer. Its optical design includes Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, which minimise chromatic aberration, while the built-in VR (Vibration Reduction) stabiliser reduces image blur caused by camera or hand shake. The VR system provides up to 4.5 stops of shutter speed compensation in the default ‘NORMAL’ mode. A second VR mode shooting option, ‘SPORT’ mode, is also available to support smooth capture of subjects that are moving unpredictably.

When attached to a DX-format DSLR, this lens covers angles of view equivalent to a lens with a focal length of 300-750 mm in FX/35mm format. Full details can be found at https://mynikonlife.com.au/gear/nikkor-lenses/af-s-200-500mm-f5-6e-ed-vr.

The AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G ED and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR are scheduled for local release on 17th September, 2015.
