June 22, 2011: General Imaging, the exclusive worldwide licensee of GE branded digital cameras, will showcase three new cameras at the 2011 PMA Australia Imaging and Entertainment Expo, which opens at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, this weekend.
These are the first GE digital cameras that feature advanced Aptina A-Pix CMOS pixel technology, which brings performance enhancing features such as increased shutter speed, the ability to continuously shoot at10 fps), 1080p HD video recording capabilities and enhanced light sensitivity to the new cameras.

The GE G100 Power Pro (RRP: $249) is a compact bridge camera with 14-megapixel resolution and a 15x optical zoom lens. Equipped with more than 30 different shooting modes, it can record Full HD video clips and features a 3-inch high-resolution LCD monitor, optical image stabilisation and a ISO 3200 sensitivity. Other features include multiple exposures, object tracking and HDR with image blending.

GE’s E1410SW Power Series model (RRP: $229) also offers 14-megapixel resolution and comes with a 10 optical zoom lens. A slim, compact body makes it an ideal ‘go anywhere’ camera. Enhanced sensitivity and support for 1080p Full-HD video are included. The J1456W is the second in GIC’s entry level Smart Series cameras with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Designed for ease of use, it includes Smile, Face and Blink Detection and red-eye removal and features the popular Pan-Capture Panorama shooting mode with a new 28mm (equivalent) lens.

The new GE J1456W. (Source: GIC.) The GE J1456W (RRP: $129) will be one of the most affordable 5x zoom, Li-on cameras on the market and is set to launch in August, 2011. The G100 Power Pro and E1410SW Power Series are due for release in October.
