July 19, 2011: Entries for the Snap Shot open photographic competition for teenagers run by the Penrith Regional Gallery and The Lewers Bequest will close on 8 August.
The competition is targeted at teenagers and looking for pictures that represent fun, freaky, festive, or feisty moments from their lives. Entry is free and there is a prize pool of $1200 that will be split across Winner, Highly Commended and four Commended photographs in two age brackets 13 -15 and 16 -19 years. Teenagers will be asked to present one A3 photograph. (Digital manipulation of photographs is acceptable but not essential.) Winning entries will appear in the 2011 exhibition, which will run from 10 September to 30 October.
To enter, simply visit www.penrithregionalgallery.org and fill out the online form then email the photo and application form to penrith.regional.gallery@gmail.com.
