Tamron has announced the new SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A032) lens for full frame Nikon and Canon DSLRs.

-

The A032 lens has a new control system that offers improved speed and precision. Tamron says the new Dual MPU (Micro Processing Units) provides fast autofocus with better accuracy, and the highest vibration compensation performance of any lens in its class.

The glass used in the new lens has greater optical transmittance for improved colour and sharpness, and Tamron’s eBAND Coating substantially curbs ghosting and flare that can appear in backlit images.

The Fluorine Coating on the front element surface is water- and oil-repellant, and allows safe and easy removal of fingerprints, dirt and smudges. Seals at the lens mount and other locations provide moisture resistance.
