August 12, 2010: Tamron will celebrate its 60th anniversary with the release of the SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD (Model A005) zoom lens, which will be available next month for the Nikon mount.
Designed for use with both full-frame sensor and AF 35mm film cameras is covers a zoom range of 70-300mm. On Nikon DSLRs with APS-C sensors, the angle of view will change the zoom range to an equivalent of 109-465mm. The new lens features VC (Vibration Compensation) stabilisation and an ultrasonic autofocus drive. It includes a special Extra Low Dispersion element to ensure high resolution.
